Piano System Review

The Piano System is a home-based piano course that is designed to give you a great lesson, but at a fraction of the cost compared to private lessons.

It has materials for beginners, intermediates, and advanced players which means you can use this course for the majory of your piano-learning journey (which is also a money-saver)!

Although this course has something for all skill levels, how much it has is somewhat limited. For example, it has one DVD for each skill level, so some people may not get as much out of the DVD as they would like.

So, depending on how much you really get out of each DVD will determine whether you need to invest in more advanced lessons or more informative lessons.

Even so, this piano course is a great way to start or continue learning piano. If you are ready to give up on wasting money and invest more into a cheaper, but reliable way of learning piano, then the Piano System is for you:

Is the Piano System right for you?

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced player, if you want to learn piano in the comfort of your own home at a very reasonable price, then I would recommend this course for you.

Here is what's included in the Piano System:

  • 9 hours of total video training for beginners to advanced players
  • Several DVD's that also focus on teaching you piano by ear
  • 2 play-along CD's
  • 2 printed workbooks with exercises and theories.

This course is well worth the one-time payment of $97. Private lessons, on average, are $30/lesson at 1 time a week, which is $120/month, or $1,440/year! For less than 1 month's worth of private lessons, you get everything included in the Piano System, which in my opinion, is better than the quality of a private lesson.

If you are ready to get good piano training no matter what skill level you are at, then I would recommend the Piano System for you.

Pros of Nate Bosch's Piano System

Here are the things I like about this course:

  • It teaches you how to play piano by ear, which is awesome.
  • It includes printed workbooks with over 65 pages of training material which goes along with the DVD's.
  • It has training for beginners, intermediates, and advanced players.
  • The DVD's have many different styles as well as popular songs you hear on the radio.

Cons of Nate Bosch's Piano System

Here are a few things I don't like about this course:
  • There is only one instructor, so he is the only one you will get to learn from (similar to private lessons).
  • You have to wait for it to be shipped to your house.
  • There is only 1 training DVD for each skill level.

Overall, the Piano System is a little less in cost than Learn & Master Piano, but it offers a little less, too. It is still a good choice for players who are just beginning, want to start where they left off, or want to improve their already great skills. If you are truly a beginner, I would look more into Learn & Master Piano, though (see my review for more details). That said, the Piano System is great for more intermediate to advanced players.

About Nate Bosch, Creator of "The Piano System"

Nate Bosch began learning piano at the age of 6 in Abbotsford, BC.

He enrolled in music courses at Yamaha School of Music where he stayed for 5 years. Upon entering college, Nate experienced what is was like to play in a band setting. This is where his musical experience and talent really took off.

Throughout his experiences, Nate developed the ability to play musical selections by ear. He also has his own band, Blue Rain, which records with notable artists. When his band is not recording, he likes to teach seminars and workshops that encourage others to find their love of music just like he did at an early age. He still lives in Abbotsford, BC with his wife and 3 kids, all of whom love to sing, dance, and create music.

To summarize, this course offers something for all skill levels, but is most beneficial to intermediate and advanced players who want to improve their playing, learn by ear, or to continue practicing good techniques and fundamentals.

Also, like Learn & Master Piano, the Piano System has a trial period. You get 90 days to decide whether you like this course or not. If you don't, just return it within the 90 days to get a 100% full refund. This always helps when I am deciding on whether to get something or not. With a good-length trial period and a full refund, you can't lose!

The Piano System also focuses on beginners and basic fundamentals, but for a more well-rounded and solid foundation, complete beginners should check out Learn & Master Piano. As for intermediate and advanced players, I would recommend the Piano System for you.

If you are ready to continue the piano and improve your skills, as well as save thousands of dollars a year, go ahead and check out the Piano System.
